Questions homeowners ask before committing.

Usually, yes. A full remodel like this one includes new plumbing fixtures and electrical work — heated floors, a smart-toilet receptacle, new lighting circuits — which most Westchester municipalities require a permit for, even when nothing moves. Requirements vary by town. RAJ determines what your municipality requires and coordinates the permit and inspections as part of the package.

Because the design, scope and specifications are already resolved, planning moves faster than a from-scratch remodel. The construction itself — the time your bathroom is actually out of service — typically runs about 6–8 weeks.

Before construction, your town has to issue the permit. Permit timing is set by the local building department and is outside our control, so it varies from town to town. We submit your application promptly, follow up until it’s approved, and schedule your start date as soon as the permit is issued — so you’re never without a bathroom while waiting on paperwork.

The range is built to cover the natural differences between real bathrooms. No two rooms are identical, so we don’t nickel-and-dime over a few inches — a bathroom that’s 5′8″ instead of 5′6″ wide, or 8′6″ instead of 8′0″ long, is still the same package.

The same goes for tub or shower. Keeping a tub means a new tub goes in; converting to a walk-in shower means the tub comes out and a shower drain and additional tile work go in instead. Those costs balance out, which is why both options live within the same range.

Where you land depends on the details we confirm at your site visit — your room’s exact size, configuration and existing conditions — and your final price is locked in writing before any work begins.

Absolutely. Matte black is our signature look, but it’s not a requirement. Fixtures, hardware, accessories and tile can be selected in the finish that suits your home — our completed bathrooms range from matte black to polished chrome, brushed nickel and warm brass. We’ll review finish options with you during design and confirm them in your final scope.

Of course. Every home and every homeowner is different, so we approach the package as a collaboration. If you have fixtures, tile or a vanity you love, we’ll review them with you, confirm they’re compatible with the installation, and scope the final design and investment around your selections — so you still get the same planning, coordination and workmanship, built around what you choose.

Your bathroom is covered in two ways. All fixtures and products carry their manufacturer’s warranty, and our installation and workmanship are backed by RAJ for 12 months after completion. If something we installed isn’t right, we come back and make it right.
