MASTER BATHROOM REMODEL- (splitting the difference)

This was a typical standard master bathroom. It had a shower sink and toilet, it gets the job done but the issue was that, this was a pedestal sink, and by all metric, with a lady using this space to its full capacity, it just could not work anymore, to say it was a sacrifice to be in here everyday was an understatement.

There was no value in taking any space from any of the rooms around the space either, everything other room was pefectly proportion. The challange was how do we get this to work, the obvious easy choice was just to swap out the pedestal sink and make that into a vanity but that really didn’t do much sice we were almost going to end op with the same countertop surface area plus or minus an inch or two so we had to think outside of the box.

There was only one hallway closet on that side of the house which we could not get rid of so we opted for the next best thing.

WE SPLIT THE DIFFERENCE

By splitting the closet in two, we were able to pick up a whole new additional work/storage area that was accessible from inside of the Mastere bathroom.  We fabricated a custom tall medicinc cabinet with top to bottom mirrors which serves as a make up staion as well. Yes we swaped out the pedestal for that nice beautiful vanity to hold the customer hand crafted selected designer sink, why  not? (we are in the business of making things functional, why not make them pretty at the same time)

We then turned our attention to the shower where we fabricated a wall to wall quartz open bench accented with the brass detail and wrap that down towards the threshold for a continuous inlay in the shower, The 60″ kohler  linear drain sits right into the back wall which we inlay tile with the floor so it can blend in.

This was a collorative effort between everyone to pull this together. Thanks to our team of hard working people and to the clients who trusted us to pull this all together! its our hope that they enjoy this for decades to come.
