MASTER BATHROOM RENOVATION.

A plan for a simple bathroom remodel with a few updates, turned into this wonderful masterpiece. A luxurious private get away for the homeowner. A personal romantic space setup with everything that you need to come home to. Shut the world out, tune out the noise, soak away in a tub that has been designed to air massage your entire body while you slip into a calm Zen space, forgetting about life for a while.

To set this up, we had to make some strategic re-location of a few things, the major one was removing the toilet bowl from its current location and re-purposing a closet next to the tub to put the toilet bowl into. This freed up the entry into the old outdated shower (see video)

Once this was done, we now had enough room to increase the size of the vanity to accommodate for enough room so that there would be much needed extra storage. The steam shower area was dark and outdated, additionally it had developed a leak over the years, so the entire bathroom was stripped down to the stud and rebuilt from the ground up. Our client wanted a skylight into the area which brought in lots of lighting into the shower, making this a really cool space to hang out. Just imagine taking a shower while enjoying a view of the beautiful sky.

Setting up this bathroom to be open but flexible at the same time for privacy was a bit tricky. We had to make creative use of pocket doors to close off areas which needed to be closed off if and when they wanted to. Part of this required us to cut into the hallway and intersect parts of the other room to make it work. It was seamlessly done, almost invisible, but we wanted the space to feel open and private when it needed to be.

A few more details were put into the space to bring it all together. We added an electrical towel warmer, pull out hair and accessory organizers, double hand held showers, double swing glass doors all finished off with a waterfall edge detail over the tub then covered with lovely large format tiles to bring this all together.

This was an intense project with many moving parts but in the end the RAJ team along with the home owners worked in sync with each other to pull this one together to make it a dream space.
