Built on Clarity.

Backed by Accountability.

Every project starts at a different point. Some homeowners are still trying to understand what’s realistic for their space—cost, scope, and what’s actually achievable—while others are ready to take the next step and move forward with a plan.

Where you are in the process matters, because the right next step isn’t the same for everyone. Start with the option that matches where you are right now.

A kitchen or bathroom renovation in Westchester is a serious investment — and most projects go wrong long before construction begins.

Our process is designed to fix that. Every project begins with a structured plan that aligns layout, budget, permitting, and construction from the start — so there are no surprises later. The consultation is complimentary. We'll review your goals, walk through realistic investment ranges, and tell you honestly whether moving forward makes sense right now.

A 30-minute consultation to review your space, answer your questions, and determine if we’re the right fit.

OUR PROCESS

FOUR PHASES. ONE ACCOUNTABLE  TEAM.

Here is exactly what happens from your first call to the day construction begins — so you always know where you stand.

01 The Initial Consultation

We start with a focused 30-minute conversation — no design session, nothing to prepare, no pressure. It is simply a candid discussion about your goals, your space, and your realistic investment range for your kitchen or bathroom renovation.

We review whether your project and our design-build approach are the right fit. The consultation is complimentary. It allows both of us to move forward with confidence — or to recognize early if the timing or scope isn’t aligned.

Design concepts and layout development only begin after we enter into a formal Pre-Construction Design Agreement, where precise measurements and structured planning take place.

“James and Angie at RAJ Kitchen & Bath are absolutely amazing. After spending many fruitless hours online looking for a design for my kitchen, I met Angie and James of RAJ Kitchen & Bath. I conveyed my ideas and style to them; They listened and the resulting design was spectacular. They included my style with functionality and ease of flow between my living and dining room, with the Kitchen as the focal point. They tailored the space to my needs and style down to the smallest detail (adore the light fixtures and hidden storage) The process was professional and seamless…”

02  The Pre-Construction Design Phase

Once alignment is established, detailed planning begins. We visit your home to take precise field measurements, document existing conditions, and develop one carefully considered design direction — based on your goals and the realities of your space.
  • Complete as-built measurements of your kitchen or bathroom
  • One primary design direction with layout and material selections
  • Identification of structural, plumbing, or electrical considerations
  • A detailed project investment summary

You can also explore examples of how this planning phase translated into finished projects in our Westchester renovation portfolio.

Nothing moves to construction until every item above is resolved and approved by you.

“Rayan’s design exceeded the best ideas that we could imagine, we were shocked and amazed when we first saw the digital walkthrough. The kitchen came out very functional and beautiful. Rayan and Angelica were always available and walked us through all steps of the process.

03 Design Presentation & Structured Revision

When we present your initial design, it reflects your spatial needs, functional priorities, and real build requirements. This is a developed direction — not a rough sketch.

It is completely normal not to feel fully aligned with every element of the first presentation. For that reason, one structured revision is included. During this phase, we refine selections, adjust layouts, and ensure the final direction feels right before a single wall is touched.

This keeps the project moving — without the endless back-and-forth that delays timelines and inflates costs.

04 Architectural Coordination & Permitting

Not every renovation in Westchester requires permits or architectural filing — some projects involve layout updates and finish changes only. But when structural adjustments, plumbing relocation, or electrical reconfiguration are involved, we introduce architectural coordination only after the design and scope are clearly defined.

Because we complete detailed field measurements and develop a resolved layout before engaging our architectural partners, they are typically reviewing and formalizing a developed plan — not drafting from scratch. This sequencing often makes the filing phase significantly faster and more efficient.

Architectural and permit-related fees vary by scope and municipality and are always discussed transparently before submission.

The Consultation Is Complimentary.

The Clarity Is immediate.

Most homeowners in Westchester tell us the first conversation gave them more clarity
than months of searching online. We’ll review your goals, walk through a realistic investment
range, and tell you honestly whether the timing makes sense.
No pressure. No design session. Just a straight conversation.

One Point of Accountability

You Are Not Managing Multiple Contractors. We Are.

RAJ Kitchen & Bath serves as the single point of responsibility from the first design meeting through your final walkthrough. For homeowners in Westchester who have heard renovation horror stories, this matters.

We coordinate architectural review when required. We pull permits where needed. We engage and manage all trade subcontractors. We oversee inspections, scheduling, and quality control. You have one agreement. One team. One accountable partner.

By centralizing responsibility, we reduce miscommunication, protect timelines, and maintain budget alignment throughout the project — whether it’s a Westchester kitchen remodel, a master bathroom renovation, or a full home addition.

What Westchester Homeowners Ask Before Starting

Most projects complete the initial design concept and the included structured revision within one to Three weeks. Timeline depends on the scope of the renovation and how quickly selections and feedback are confirmed. Larger projects — such as full kitchen remodels or primary bathroom renovations — may take slightly longer due to the number of decisions involved.

Yes. The Pre-Construction Design retainer is applied directly toward cabinet costs when the project proceeds to construction. It is not an additional fee — it is the first step in your overall project investment.

Field measurements typically require 45 to 90 minutes depending on project scope and accessibility. Whole-home interior renovations or projects with complex existing conditions may require additional time. You’ll be on-site with our team — this is also a good opportunity to walk through any specific concerns about your space.

The Pre-Construction Design Phase covers professional planning time, field measurement, and the development of your design concept. Because this work is completed regardless of whether construction proceeds, the retainer is non-refundable if the project does not move forward. This ensures our team can invest fully in your planning without reservation.

The initial consultation is focused on evaluating fit and alignment — not design. Thoughtful kitchen and bathroom design requires accurate field documentation and dedicated planning time. Layouts developed without precise measurements often lead to costly adjustments later. We protect your investment by doing it right.

Thoughtful design requires dedicated time and accurate field documentation.

Not all projects require filing. Requirements vary by scope and municipality across Westchester County. Finish-only upgrades typically do not require permits. Projects involving structural changes, plumbing relocation, or electrical reconfiguration generally do. We assess permit requirements early in the planning process and manage all coordination and submission on your behalf — you don’t need to navigate that independently.

Once the included revision is finalized, the Pre-Construction Design Phase concludes and overall layout and scope are considered aligned. At that point, the construction agreement is signed and detailed development continues — finishes are refined, cabinetry is specified, appliances are integrated, and documentation advances toward build readiness. If significant redesign is needed beyond the included revision, additional design sessions can be arranged.

No. RAJ Kitchen & Bath serves as your single point of accountability from planning through completion. We coordinate architectural review, pull permits, manage all trade subcontractors, and oversee inspections and scheduling. You have one contract and one team — not a list of vendors to juggle.

Kitchen renovation investment in Westchester varies based on scope, materials, structural changes, and appliance selections. Our pricing guide walks through the major cost factors for Westchester homeowners. The initial consultation is also the right place to discuss your realistic range — candidly and without pressure.

For Homeowners Ready to Move Forward

A renovation this significant deserves more than a rough estimate and a handshake. It deserves a team that has thought through every detail before a single tool is picked up.

That is what this process delivers — clarity on scope, alignment on investment, and a construction phase that moves forward without the chaos that defines most renovation experiences in Westchester.

When you book your consultation, you are not committing to anything. You are simply starting an honest conversation with a team that will tell you exactly what your project involves — and whether the timing is right.

“We had a great experience working with RAJ Kitchen & Bath. They were extremely patient throughout the design process, accommodating multiple rounds of ideas and changes without any hesitation. During the renovation itself, we requested a few minor adjustments, and the team handled them smoothly.

Rayan was fantastic to work with — always giving honest feedback on our suggestions and never rushing us into decisions. The crew was skilled, professional, and a pleasure to have around. Even after the project was completed, the follow-ups and attention to detail have been excellent…
