This shared hallway bathroom needed to work harder than most. It serves as both a daily-use family bath and a guest bathroom, which meant the design had to feel elevated and intentional—without sacrificing practicality. The goal was clear from the start: sleek, clean, modern, and streamlined, with thoughtful upgrades that go beyond what you typically expect in a hallway bathroom.
Located in Eastchester, this remodel focused on maximizing visual calm, hiding everyday clutter, and introducing architectural moments that make the space feel custom rather than generic.
Design Direction: Minimal, Modern, and Purpose-Driven
Rather than relying on surface-level updates, this project rethought how the room functions and feels the moment you walk in. Clean lines, concealed elements, and integrated lighting were used throughout to create a bathroom that feels quietly sophisticated—never busy, never over-designed.

Tub & Shower: Clean Sightlines, Hidden Storage
The tub area was completely rebuilt with a new bathtub and a single half-glass panel, keeping the room open and bright while still providing splash protection. Instead of visible shelving or corner caddies, we cut a recessed niche into the back wall of the tub.
This placement was intentional: as you enter the bathroom, shampoos and bottles are hidden from view, preserving clean sightlines and reinforcing the minimalist aesthetic
Toilet Wall: Modern Architecture, Not an Afterthought
A major transformation happens at the toilet wall. We framed and recessed a wall-hung, tankless toilet system, concealing the tank entirely within the wall. This move not only supports the modern design language but also frees up floor space, making the room feel more open and easier to maintain.
Above the toilet, we introduced a custom U-shaped recessed niche, softly illuminated with blue LED lighting. This feature adds depth and a subtle architectural glow, turning a typically overlooked area into a design moment.
Toilet Wall: Modern Architecture, Not an Afterthought
The old radiator was removed and replaced with a wall-mounted Runtal-style unit, chosen for its slim profile and contemporary appearance. It blends seamlessly into the wall rather than competing with the rest of the design.
Behind the door, we created a hidden recessed area for a heated towel warmer—completely out of sight unless you’re inside the room. It’s a small luxury that elevates everyday use without cluttering the space visually.
Vanity & Sink: Floating Form, Architectural Precision
The vanity is a true centerpiece of the room. A floating vanity with an integrated solid-surface sink reinforces the modern aesthetic while keeping the floor visually clear. The sharp geometry of the sink basin contrasts subtly with the softness of the surrounding finishes, creating balance.
Paired with a sleek single-lever faucet, the vanity area feels refined and intentional—more like a boutique hotel than a standard hallway bath.
Above it, a rounded LED-backlit mirror introduces a gentle curve that offsets the linear design elsewhere in the room. It adds warmth, depth, and a soft ambient glow that enhances both function and atmosphere.
Lighting, Tile & Finishes: Calm, Cohesive, and Timeless
Large-format wall tiles were selected to minimize grout lines and maintain a clean, uninterrupted surface. The palette stays light and neutral, allowing texture and lighting to do the heavy lifting.
Recessed lighting, integrated LEDs, and reflective surfaces work together to make the space feel larger, brighter, and more refined—without relying on excess ornamentation.
