Kitchen Remodeling in Harrison, NY

Harrison homeowners tend to be discerning. This is a community that attracts people who care about quality — in their homes, in the professionals they hire, and in the results they expect. Which makes it all the more frustrating when the remodeling process doesn’t reflect that standard.

The problem almost never starts with the contractor. It starts earlier — when design decisions get made without the full picture, when scope gets locked in before the layout is resolved, when cabinetry gets ordered before anyone has thought through how the space actually needs to work. By the time construction begins, the room for error is already built in. Change orders follow. Timelines stretch. The kitchen comes out looking finished but never quite feeling right.

Harrison has a mix of housing types — newer construction in some areas, older colonials and split-levels in others — and the kitchens reflect that range. What’s consistent is the expectation: a space that works at the level of the home around it. Not just updated, but genuinely improved. More functional, better proportioned, aligned with how the family actually uses it.

That’s the standard we hold every project to. At RAJ Kitchen & Bath, every Harrison kitchen remodel starts with a clear plan — scope defined, layout resolved, budget aligned — before a single decision gets locked in. Not a guess. Not a proposal that looks reasonable until the walls come down. A real plan, coordinated from the start.

We’ve spent over a decade working in homes across Westchester and we know what Harrison kitchens need. You can learn more about our approach through our Kitchen renovation service in Westchester County.

Planning Your Renovation

We typically work with homeowners looking for a fully planned, design-build approach — where decisions are made upfront and the entire project is managed from start to finish.

Every kitchen remodel begins with clarity around scope, layout, and investment. Some projects focus primarily on cabinetry and finishes, while others involve structural adjustments, flow improvements, and coordinated approvals. During consultation, we outline what your specific home requires — including permit considerations and sequencing — so expectations are clearly defined before construction begins.

In Westchester County, comprehensive kitchen remodels involving layout changes and full design coordination typically require a significant investment, with final cost determined by scope, cabinetry level, structural requirements, and mechanical updates.

For homeowners who prefer clarity before beginning conversations, we’ve published a detailed  Westchester Kitchen Remodel Pricing Guide outlining real project ranges and scope considerations based on completed RAJ projects.

We’re not a cabinet showroom, and we’re not just a contractor. We plan and build kitchens as one complete system — where layout, cabinetry, and construction are developed together and executed as one project.

Gorgeous — A Whole-Home Reimagined From Entry to Primary Suite

The challenge: A well-built home with great bones — tall ceilings, solid proportions — but finishes that had aged, rooms that felt restrictive, and a kitchen disconnected from the scale and potential of the house. Light existed but didn't travel. Spaces were defined but not connected.

The result: Kitchen opened with a 12-foot glass door to the deck, floor-to-ceiling window, curved banquette wrapping the air supply stack, 10-foot island with concealed water filtration, panel-ready Miele refrigeration with mirrored glass, professional range with solid brass pot filler. Classic black-and-white foyer tile, wainscoting, and sleek black balusters. Home office in rich navy with brass fixtures. Primary suite expanded with three-sided fireplace. Kids bathroom in pink with heated floors. 11 months. One word: gorgeous.

Caribbean Teal — Bold Color That Proves You Don't Have to Play It Safe

The challenge: A functional but dated kitchen in a constrained location — no wall removal possible, no open-concept expansion. The redesign had to make the most of the existing footprint while giving the space real identity and presence.

The result: Caribbean Teal by Sherwin-Williams emerged naturally through the design process and became the defining element. Full-height custom cabinetry, custom teal vent hood as a focal point, quartz countertops with subtle veining. Secondary door to the deck removed and replaced with a large picture window for natural light. Professional-grade range, paneled dishwasher, floating shelves. Solid wood dining table personally selected by the homeowners on a trip to Cape Cod. A kitchen that reflects exactly who lives in it.

What you see in these projects isn’t luck — it’s process.

Every kitchen that comes out right does so because the decisions were made in the right order. Layout before cabinets. Scope before budget. Plan before construction. That’s not a philosophy — it’s a discipline. And it’s the difference between a kitchen that works exactly as imagined and one that required compromises along the way that nobody talks about after the fact.

Harrison homeowners who come to us aren’t always sure what they want yet. Some have a clear vision. Others just know something isn’t working. What they all have in common is that they want the process to be clear, managed, and free of surprises.

That’s exactly what the four steps below are built around. This is the same structured planning process we use on every project. You can learn more about how that works on our design-build planning process page.

The work speaks. But so do the people who lived through it.

Anyone can show a finished kitchen. What matters is what the homeowner experienced getting there — whether the process felt managed or chaotic, whether the budget held or shifted, whether they’d do it again with the same team.

These are homeowners across Westchester who trusted RAJ Kitchen & Bath with their homes. Not cherry-picked testimonials — real feedback from real projects, about what it actually feels like to go through a remodel done right.

“Rayan is the consummate professional and takes pride in every little detail. My husband and I were nervous because we were on a tight budget — but Rayan made us happy beyond our wildest dreams. My kitchen took 2 weeks and the result was totally amazing. Now I have the PERFECT kitchen. If Rayan can’t design it, I don’t think it can be designed.”

“We thought we knew what we wanted until James stepped in and patiently questioned almost all of our initial design plans to be sure we’d be happy in the end. He did not leave any detail to chance and made sure to involve us in every decision. We are over-the-moon with the end result and would highly recommend James to anyone considering a major kitchen renovation.”

  • Custom cabinetry expertise
  • Permits & inspections coordinated
